About This Tour Package

The journey to Kailash Door Darshan from Nepal is a spiritual odyssey that takes pilgrims through breathtaking landscapes and diverse cultures. The journey starts in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, where pilgrims meet their guides and make final preparations for the trek.

The first leg of the journey takes pilgrims through the picturesque countryside of Nepal, passing through villages and lush forests. The trail gradually ascends towards the Tibetan plateau, offering stunning views of the Himalayan range along the way. After crossing the Nepal-Tibet border, pilgrims travel through barren landscapes and high-altitude passes, acclimatizing to the thin air and extreme weather conditions.

Upon reaching the Mansarovar Lake, pilgrims are greeted by the sight of the tranquil blue waters, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. They take a dip in the holy waters and perform rituals to pay homage to Lord Shiva and seek blessings.

The next leg of the journey involves the challenging trek around Mount Kailash. The trail is steep and rocky, with several high-altitude passes and challenging terrain. Pilgrims take breaks at several monasteries and shrines along the way, offering prayers and seeking blessings.

After completing the trek around Mount Kailash, pilgrims return to Mansarovar Lake for another round of rituals and prayers. The journey back to Kathmandu takes pilgrims through the same scenic route, allowing them to savor the memories of their spiritual journey.

This is one of the toughest high-altitude road journeys on earth. You Must be physically fit - no two ways about that. Generally, patients with asthma & heart problems have a problem acclimatizing to high altitudes. In your interests, it is essential you should be examined by your doctor to know about your health condition and your ability to cope with the rigors of high altitude travel for days in 'no road' conditions.
As you are traveling over high terrain, you are likely to experience symptoms and discomfort of altitude sickness (headache, loss of appetite, nausea, exhaustion, sleeplessness, breathlessness, etc.) until your body adjusts to the elevation. This can take a couple of days or more depending on the individual. For this reason alone, we have made it mandatory to stay 1 night at Simikot before moving on to the higher altitudes. Drink plenty of water, be calm, and do not exercise. Do not drink alcohol or smoke prior to and during the tour. We also recommend you carry a strip of diamox tablets.
